About The Bee

The RAMAC Foundation is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to host a civics competition that encourages young Americans to engage in civics, government, and contribute to their communities. Participating 6th, 7th and 8th graders will flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes. This initiative is being led by a 2024 Leadership Racine project team.

First, essays must be submitted and judges will select 20 finalists to go to the live event. At the live event, the finalists will be given quizzes and questions to test their civics knowledge.

Essays must be submitted online. The application process is closed for 2024.

The top 3 winners from Racine’s live event will receive prizes and will be invited to the state level event and could even go all the way to Washington, DC to compete in the national championship.

How To Enter

Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student with an idea about using civics to solve a problem or improve their community may review the rules and submit an essay application.
