MICROGRANT PROGRAM
The RAMAC Foundation provides microgrants to organizations in need of support for projects with an educational component.
Grant proposals will open in March of 2026. Due date for submission is September 1st. There will only be one granting cycle.
2025 Microgrant Awards
Fight to End Exploitation – support for a conference to equip and empower professionals to prevent the exploitation of at-risk youth through a unified, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered approach.
Racine Symphony Orchestra – support for a concert with a pre-concert conversation, exhibit, and educational programs showcasing instruments owned and played during the Holocaust.
Racine Zoo – provided summer camp scholarships for youth
eLigibility
Before you submit a request, be sure your organization is eligible.
- 501c3 organization with proof of 501c3 status
- Small business (less than 50 employees) with a specific need that aligns with the RAMAC Foundation’s purpose
- Located East of I-94 only (Sturtevant, Mount Pleasant, Caledonia, Franksville, Wind Point, Elmwood Park, City of Racine, North Bay)
- Complete a grant request form
- Complete the budget section on the form or submit budget separately
Submission of a proposal that meets all the requirements does not guarantee funding.
The RAMAC Foundation will not fund grant proposals for: Lobbying efforts or political action groups • Labor unions • Annual fund drives or capital campaigns • Endowment-building campaigns • Operating costs • Capital expenses • Salaries
Criteria
Follow these criteria to submit a microgrant request properly.
- Grant requests are maximum $1,000. There is no minimum.
- Preference will be given to proposals with an educational component, but all submissions will be reviewed.
- Preference will be given to 501c3 nonprofits, but submissions from small businesses will be considered and reviewed.
- Funds are for programs, projects, or events only. No funding will be given for general operating costs, capital expenses, or salaries.
Applications are due September 1st.
Please note that the total amount of funding available to be awarded may vary from year-to-year.
Grant Review Process
Shortly after the grant request deadline the RAMAC Foundation’s Board of Directors will review the proposals (typically the 3rd week of September). If the organization is approved for funding, they will receive an email notification with instructions for receiving the award. Payout will typically occur in October.
If not awarded funding, the organization will also receive an email notification separately.
REQUIREMENTS IF FUNDED
If your organization is awarded funding, you are required to:
- Sign and submit a grant agreement.
- Recognize the RAMAC Foundation as a funding source on marketing materials or advertising for the program/project/event.
- Submit a report within 60 days of the completion of the project/program/event. Late and/or incomplete reports will negatively impact the organization’s eligibility for future potential funding.
Information included in the report may be used in RAMAC reports, media, or publications.
